Yeah, it's a copy of that.

Apr 28 Moag commented on Surprise: Governor Inslee Calls Special Legislative Session After Lawmakers Fail to Pass Budget.
It seems every reporter has made the same mistake, now including Goldy: The legislature passed the regular 2-year transportation budget. It is largely status quo and noncontroversial. They have not passed a proposed separate 12-year transportation revenue package, which would increase the gas tax by 10 cents and fund a bunch of new stuff and is quite controversial. They will discuss the latter during the special session.

@2 You're assuming Powell's gun saved his life. Actually, it seemed to have nearly killed him by starting a gun fight. Though we can never say precisely what would have happened had things been done differently, it is more likely that Powell would have been uninjured (albeit, out a few bucks) had he not pulled (or not carried) a gun. The all-guns-all-the-time crowd likes to pretend that guns make everything better, but they more frequently make things worse (and that's not even counting the accidental shootings).
Mar 21 Moag commented on Teabagger Wisdom for Children.
The thing I find most weirdly impressive about the mentality of teabagger deficit-obsessives like this is their ability to say things like "devoured $15 Trillion" without ever for a moment asking where that money went, who paid it, who benefited from it, and who made those decisions, so as to avoid any uncomfortable answers. Amazing mental "flexibility".
Mar 11 Moag commented on Who Should Be Mayor?.
With 835 votes so far, I think that's a pretty reasonable prediction of the actual election. If so, then congratulations, Mayor Murray.
Feb 28 Moag commented on Senate Considers "Rule Change" to Circumvent Today's Court Ruling.
The Senate can pass a 2/3 rule, and the supremes won't interfere. But a simple majority of Senators can vote to repeal a Senate rule, so it's kind of pointless.

Also, note that the bad revenue projections were made by WSDOT, not Seattle nor Seattle residents (many of whom didn't want a tunnel anyway).

@1 How many have you polled? 400 is, indeed, a legit number for a scientific poll. And they gave the margin of error.
Jan 21 Moag commented on The Seattle Times Makes the Case for Denying Middle-Class Children Access to an Affordable College Education.
@2 You're such an ignorant fucker. As Goldy pointed out, participants in the GET program pay money -- cold hard cash -- into the system in exchange for a return in the form of tuition. No bailout involved.
Nov 14, 2012 Moag commented on What If We Elected Our Governor the Way We Elect Our President? (Hint: Pierce County Is Washington's Ohio).
@5 You've made my point for me.

Under an electoral college system, your vote only matters if you live in a state (or county or whatever) that is split roughly 50/50. Rather than campaign to win as many votes as they can, the candidates campaign only to the voters in those close states, ignoring the rest. Democracy suffers. This "meaningless bullshit" points that out quite nicely.
