I have no problem paying for something that benefits the public generally. I do have an issue with freeway tolling as implemented in Washington, however. First, the tolls are a regressive tax and are disproportionately expensive for people with lower incomes. Second, they are run by for-profit partners, which siphons off money into private hands instead of returning it fully for public benefit. A better approach would be for important transportation initiatives to be funded out of the general fund, which in turn would be fed by a fair, progressive tax structure.

Half of a footlong sandwich is described as a 6" sandwich. That means implicitly that the footlong should actually be a foot long. Since the footlong is not a foot long, that means that a sandwich half as long - called a 6" - is actually less than 6", and is thus deceptive advertising. Subway's claim that "footlong" is just a name and not descriptive might work for some, but calling a sandwich which is less than 6" a 6" sandwich is a bit harder to defend.

@ 1: There are only 49 seats, not 51.Right now it's 27D-22R. If Benton wins, that brings it to 26D-23R. Then if both DINOs switch, we end up with 24D-25R (functionally, since two Rs would be the DINOs).

There is another, shorter trailer online which shows someone getting bitten by a zombie and then transforming almost instantly into a zombie himself, just like someone infected by the Rage virus in 28 Days Later. This destroys another significant component of the book: the horror a person bitten by a zombie experiences knowing that he will slowly turn into a zombie himself (in a matter of hours or days), and the dreadful choice he and those around him must make (turn into a zombie or take a bullet to the head).

The real zombie here is this movie: a lobotomized, stinking skeleton of the source novel.
