@3 Also, old suburanites are welcome to entertainment, too. I don't understand Rich Smith's contempt for the suburban audience, as if every show needs to be Art with a capital A (not that there's anything wrong with that) and that they audience needs to be young intellectuals looking for "intelligent" theater (not that there's anything wrong with them).

I mean, review the show on its merits, sure, with how you feel about it--perfectly legitimate--but I don't understand disparaging the type of people who attend.

@1 doesn't like the story, everybody. Time to shut the production down.

@1: Agreed. I also don't know why this is so often framed as a negative trait. This is exactly the kind of thing we're coached to do in job interviews. Like a job interview, a politician is focused on telling a story of how they are the best candidates to lead the nation. The best way to do that is to hammer on bullet points--or talking points--that reveal your strengths and how you would approach the job.

The Seahawks have an NFL record 88 game span of being within one score of winning in the fourth quarter and have never lost by more than 10 points in that same span. That's mind boggling. Not only are the Hawks NOT more prone to getting steamrolled I can make the argument that they HAVEN'T been steamrolled in 88 games.

These reviews are terrific. Why are they limited to SLOG and not in the publications?

@6 It's not, though. It's a pretty iconic outfit. It's a blue suit, yellow shirt with the collar popped, loose skinny tie.

You would hate it. It has a certain irresistible charm but it is a terrible show.

@50 Just because the author may have benefited from white privilege, I fail to see why the story can't be told. Where is your outrage coming from? No, I'm serious. I don't understand why this story warrants your level of outrage.

Yeah, you're right, it's so much easier to walk through life blinding categorizing people as "good guys" and "bad guys". Who wants to see the humanity in any decision a human might make anyway?

So what are those of us who are bald and like to keep warm in the colder months supposed to wear? Especially with something a little dressy casual like a blazer and jeans? A wool cap won't cut it. I'm not being snarky. Like, really, what should I wear since the masses have declared the brimmed hat not in fashion.
