This sounds like all kinds of bad just waiting to happen. I like what monkey fetish @#3 had to say. Poly relationship or being a new parent. I just don't see how anyone could do both. LW is in a bad place. Frankly, her husband being 'in love' with someone they've been dating for 4 months is just scary. Maybe the husband isn't on board with being a dad?

I've been looking at the two 'Zophar" photos and I'm seriously confused. The photo on the left looks like the back of a forearm, and the one on the right, the back of a leg. I must be crazy. Photo 1, I see the wrist bent back, a hand, a shirt sleeve pulled up. Pic 2, a clearly visible sock, pant leg pulled up, and round leg. What's up with that?

OK, Im not one of the "young 'uns" and I'm embarrassed to say here, in front of all of SLOG, that the 27 photos reference went by me. Can someone please explain?

Dan's solution is elegant, but I love at least the idea of giving the rufus the book, along with a note explaining the original (stupid) plan.

In the 'burbs the anti-prop 1 message was simple. No $60 car tabs.

As a juicy 20-something living on Capitol Hill in the late 80's, I loved that Piecoras would deliver a half pizza. Even better was when they would deliver a whole pie for the half pie price! I always tipped the delivery guy with weed… maybe that explains the whole pie thing.

I would agree with #21. East Valley 13. When I lived on the North End, the Crest was my go-to. But it totally feels like a cut-rate, second run theater. The East Valley 13 is huge, big screens. At $3.50 it's hard to beat. As for first run movies, just too expensive.

I lived first in a scary boiler room in a sketchy Bellevue Ave apartment, and then at the Summit Vista on Summit street '86-'89. The Gay 90's was one of my favorites. Strong-ass drinks. My then gf asked the bartender to add a bit more coke to basically a glass of rum, and was asked, "What's that? You want milk?" (cackle). Just down the street was a great pizza place… Abruzzis? Anyway, a trip to the Gay 90's was always followed by pizza and then giant long island iced teas at the Gibson. Downtown at that time was completely abandoned after 7pm. Like post-apocalypse, zombie-crackhead wasteland.

Squid Row was the best. Our friends played there pretty frequently (Skin 'n Bones). For shows they would throw plywood on top of the pool tables, and the place was literally packed to the rafters. There was no stage, just a corner that the band would be jammed into.
