This is absolutely fucking incredible.

I like Death Cab a lot, and I think that Foot Village sounds pretty interesting, too. Um. I hope that's ok with the Stranger and it's "My Music Is So Much Better Than Yours" bullshit attitude.

It is natural to love, to help, to give. I see it in my daughters all the time. I get what Charles is saying. We pound the positive aspects of our nature out of children and demand that the individual get the focus rather than the collective, which is the natural state. We may be born as an individual rational entity, but we are born into a collective, a group. And our brains seem to be hard-wired to respond to this. We yearn to connect, to give, to share life with each other, and our rules and philosophies push this out of us the older we get.

As long as they get the original musicians to play that sweet jazz he had going in the show, I'm all in. No matter who becomes Fred Rogers.

Awesome, Mr. Alexie. Awesome.
Apr 30 paulus22 commented on Seattle Teachers Ask Parents to Join Testing Boycott by Opting Kids Out.
The simple truth is that parents must be the driving force for change in public education. It is ONLY when parents get riled up that anything ever happens. Teachers have been blue-in-the-face complaining about ed. reform from the beginning. Nobody ever gives a shit. But when parents complain, things happen. Look at the 'reevaluation' of that Center School guy's curriculum about race and privilege; some parents got pissed, forced change. The same thing will happen with over-testing if parents rally and make the district know that they don't want it.

Except for that whole kickback thing...

How does one find out about these houses? You name many of them; is there a listing somewhere? My band would be stoked to play at a show sometime, but I know nothing about how to contact these folks. Any help?

Actually, Bernie Taupin was correct.

Best drag performer of all time. I'm sorry that you didn't get it. Dina turns drag on its head by making it as silly as it should be.

Note that in the knifing story, as of right now, NO deaths are reported. That is the difference. If a gun were used, there would be multiple deaths. Knives...not so much.
