"Not to get too IWW about it, but the ability to knowingly cause economic injury to a company's business interests is one of the most valuable tools we have to get shit done in America."

EXACTLY.

First of all, GET AN ABORTION. Sorry to be insensitive. But the last thing anyone needs is another tot thrown into the mix. And three children is an unreasonable number even in the best circumstances. Limited resources, people.

Dude's going to cheat AND lie again as far as I'm concerned. If you're horny masturbate. Dissolve any pretense of having a romantic relationship. Figure out how to be successful, non-romantically entangled co-parents, and get as much of his paycheck coming your way as possible. As soon as you can make it work to live seperately, live seperately, then make a real effort to enjoy every other weekend child free without any guilt.

I.e. prevent the situation from becoming even more complicated and unmanageable, and move on as quickly as you can.

So sorry. It's a terrible situation to be honestly blind-sided by deception.

I am really loving these comics!
Jan 10 Racing Turtles commented on Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck Doc to Contain Unheard Music by Nirvana Frontman.
4 minutes in I pray I never hear "Montage oh Heck" by KC ever again. Jesus Christ.

Re: the documentary, 'eh' is the best I can muster. Nirvana was a good band and sort of led the way into a remarkably solid era of popular music, but all these years later I don't find Cobain to be a particulalry interesting or noteworthy figure. And remember the note he left Courtney Love that was released by the police recently? If it indicated anything about his true character, and I'm not saying it does, who knows the real circumstances during which it was written, but if it does, dude was an asshole.

Hedwig is an excellent example of a great, recent movie musical.

Gone are the days indeed of great movie musicals. Three personal favorites that come to mind are: Singin' in the Rain, Cabaret, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. All three have fantastic choreography.

And they're not CGI-laden cartoons. And the talent at every level is REAL talent, starting with the writing.

Makes me sad.

Ummm, an EYE FOR EYE would be the state blinding Mark Wahlberg in an attempted murder on his life while screaming "WASP". That is not in question here. Just the expunging of a legal convinction for which guilt has been established.

And my point about the day before someone turns 18 is illustrative of a fundamental problem with your argument (@46). The fact is, maturity varies from individual to individual. You cannot say with any kind of empirical validity that a *legal* child is any less mature than a legal adult, because legal adulthood is a line in the sand when the development timeline of human beings falls within a continuum. For fuck's sake!

The hysterics here are so unmerited.

24 & 44 - I think we're being a little dramatic when we correlate "Off with their heads" and expunging a criminal conviction, no? When "what they did" was commit a violent, attempted murder, apparently motivated by race based hatred, and we're talking about a 16 year old (not like a 10 year old)? Your argument that it ruins the lives of these poor innocents is completely nullified by Mark Wahlberg's successful outcomes, by the way.

We're not talking about stealing cassette tapes from a K-Mart. We're not talking about smoking marijuana or ditching home room. ATTEMPTED FUCKING MURDER.

Also, not to be a total dick, but you have to ask yourself the question about legal age versus individual maturity or you're guilty of intellectual dishonesty. It is patently not the case that someone's ability to understand the consequences or motivations behind their actions changes on their 18th birthday, and you know it.

@41 - are you suggesting that it is always, under all circumstances, inappropriate and unethical to try a legal child as an adult? What if these crimes had occurred the day before his 18th birthday? "Adulthood" by birth date is merely a construct, not a facet of actual reality. It seems pretty safe to bet he knew what he was doing when he smacked the guy in the face and rendered him blind, while yelling "gook". Personally, in a clear cut case of unprovoked, serious violence, I'm not overly concerned with legal forgiveness.
