President Romney.
I'm not "furious". At some point, SS and Medicare are going to have to be means-tested and the eligibility ages will need to be raised. Might as well get started with that.

Ashley Judd Is Not Running for Senate.
As a 50 year KY resident, and strong supporter of most of Judd's liberal positions, I can assure you that she stood no chance of beating Mitch. Outside of Louisville, Lexington and a small crescent on the river south of Cincinnati, KY voter's consistently vote against their own economic interests and for an evangelical/Ayn Randian agenda against women, civil liberties and the federal benefit programs that support most of them.

The Looming 401K Disaster.
@6, my wife is a university professor with a defined contribution plan. I, also, had a defined contribution plan as a corporate drudge. Because we can both do math, we have always contributed the maximum allowable to those plans to get the maximum employer match. I am 65 and retired, she has 6 more years of work before retirement. Our current net worth, almost entirely in IRAs, is >$2M. The income from that plus our combined Social Security income of ~$50K will be comfortable.
Defined contribution works if people make the necessary contributions.

Carbon Monoxide Detectors: What Do You Think?.
My CO detector plugs into an outlet and had battery back-up so I don't have to change then very often. NOTE! carbon monoxide is heavier than air so CO detectors should be located close to the floor. A CO detector on the ceiling or high on a wall is next to useless.
