Whoever I end up voting for in a mayoral election, never wins.

You know, to block coal shipments from going through the region is to say "I have a much better plan in place, it replaces coal as a primary energy source, is safe and cheap".

Still waiting for the alternative to coal folks! Either you are part of the solution, or part of the problem.

Thanks to "Journalists" like Goldy, ive lost quite a bit of confidence in The Stranger. From his Fanboy attitude when it comes to Apple products (and juvenile attacks on their competitors) to his bizarre obsession with the Seattle Times.

Yeah, lets spend hundreds of millions on street level light rail, while Metro implodes. If its based on sales tax, then its going to suffer the way of the bus during a recession, if its based on excise tax, then its going to get voted down. Anything that requires 200-300 million will probably require a public vote, last attempt was rejected by 56% and that had a third of the money going to road maintenance.

They have only themselves to blame, from airing art or indie flicks that only appeal to a small demographic, to re-runs of classic movies that people have already seen, plus the refusal to upgrade to digital projection make this a dead years ago.

Film is a 100 years old now, still the fire hazard it always was and degrades over time into chemical toxic soup. Digital projection has so many advantages that its no wonder why its killing traditional film theaters the way the internet is killing of paper newspapers and magazines. It would be hard to make this a indie theater given how theres already half a dozen of them within 4 blocks of that location.

Wow and it was only 4 years ago when the Stranger totally started kissing McGinn's ass, no matter how embarrassing his leadership skills really were.
Jun 11 Kinison commented on State Senator Curtis King (R-Yakima) Should Go Fuck Himself.
So instead of giving cities the right to raise car tabs to whatever they want, without a public vote. He gave us the right to raise the sales tax, but only if it passed a public vote. Goldy, what country do you live in, in which a public vote is consider obscene?

Metro needs to tighten the belt and figure things out, because we gave them 20$ extra a few years back and now that it expired, they still need that 20$. This means they did nothing to further to cut costs, their only option on the table appears to be cutting service. As a life time bus user, who does not own a car, I can tell you there are indeed some things they can cut.
Jun 10 Kinison commented on Mayor Says He'll Evict Nickelsville by Sept. 1.
Funny in the sense that its the same group of folks who endorsed Occupy Seattle and their actions, who's camp at SCCC was so much worse than Nickelsville.
Jun 7 Kinison commented on They Shoot Hookers, Don't They?.
Well I gave my friend money for crack and he didnt buy me any crack, so I had to shoot him in the back to recover the money I gave him.
Jun 7 Kinison commented on Microsoft (Kinda-Sorta) Denies Participation in NSA's PRISM Wiretapping Program.
So even though Apple is doing the same thing as Microsoft, for some reason Goldy is going to once again give Apple a free pass, while attacking Microsoft in his usual biased way.
Jun 3 Kinison commented on Doctor Who?.
I dont care who the replace Smith with, I just wish the writers would stop being so lazy. Show is slowly turning into a cartoon.
