The working poor don't live in areas where aPodments are feasible or desirable. I get the argument that they should, but barring radical structural changes (or the apocalypse), micro apartments offer an opportunity for young and childless service corps to conveniently attend to the demands of the adults in the room.

#4 - this isn't surprising:

1) The viewing public expects nothing less than ultraviolence.

2) The game itself is brutal and the season is long.

3) Steroids are the most effective (short term) means to recover from injury.

4) Players have a limited window to earn a living. Their pay may well be contractually guaranteed through injury but their earning potential is nonetheless jeapordized.

The incentives to use PEDs are structural, no?
