Why is laughing loudly on a wine tour an offense anyway?

I suspect AM accounts who used their real emails were the ones most likely to be looky-loos, just there out of curiosity. Why bother to create a new email when you are planning to delete the account after a few minutes anyway? And then comes the nasty surprise that AM charged to delete, and that even deleted accounts showed up in the data dump.

Wow, Dan, really? He ASKED her to go through his phone for photos. Not your garden-variety snooping.
She found these incriminating photos, and was hurt and upset, a normal human reaction. She confronted him...but what was the other choice? Pretend she hadn't seen anything? Great communication, that.
I do think she should forgive, but she did not deserve this harsh answer.

I'd take a bullet for my husband, but not if he were the one firing it.

I associate PVC with plumbing, which was bringing some pretty odd visuals as I read this letter. Google image search taught me something today!

"Girl woman," LOL. In typo veritas.

Sorry, LW, but yes: you do walk away. Please do not continue to pursue and attempt to persuade. She ended it, in no uncertain terms. The fact that you gave her money, the fact that she sounds like an asshole, the fact that she's the most beautiful girl woman you've ever dated, all irrelevant to that question. Walk away is your only option.

@29 seems to be bringing a lot that is not actually in the letter. "Dangling the prospect of a relationship?" If being someone's friend is dangling the prospect of a relationship then we are all guilty. No one made him hang out with her. It sounds like he doesn't even like her, he just wants to fuck her. He resents her for not returning the attraction, and for his OWN choice to waste time with someone he doesn't like.
As is, he's pretty sad; but I hope he takes his would-be vacation money and does fun, interesting things, and in time becomes a fun, interesting person, that people are more likely to want to fuck.

Just read comment #65, and you have a point, about the tears.

I get what commenters are saying about "too clingy;" but the LW does not come off as a needy, desperate person. She seems thoughtful and reasonable, and stating, thoughtfully and reasonably, that what he has asked is too painful for her. Recognizing and honoring her own feelings does not make her needy, although it may make her the wrong person for this man.

Dating is done for me (at least I damn well hope it is!) but I wouldn't do a "hold" either; I would offer instead a "break," which Dan suggested. The difference is that the relationship defaults to OFF unless a specific conversation is had to put it back ON. Each person is free and single, no one is waiting for the other, like a dog by a door.
