I used to think about it all the time. I have a couple of ridiculously stressful family relationships that were made even worse through access to social media. I ended up basically blocking all but about 10-12 of my friends from showing up in my newsfeed. Now I can go check on my family members once in a while if I want to, but I'm not constantly bombarded with their crap. It's turned out to be a workable middle road for me.

@9 - YES. I have experienced life both as a deeply devoted follower of Jesus and as a completely unspiritual atheist. If anything, my life experiences are fuller and more wonderful as an atheist than they were as a Christian. But, MAN, are Christians unwilling to hear that.

@3 - exactly how I feel. Also, I'd watch Carey Mulligan clip her toenails for two hours, so I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy the hell out of Gatsby, whatever it's flaws, simply for her presence in it.
