I was hoping he was going to tell us that we'll see a big turn-around in Iraq in the next 6 months.

We're still waiting for that one, Thomas....

I feel Dan is right: First thing is warn LW's friends, and tell them politics is a no-no. If they want to go elsewhere, they should. What Dan left out is that, should they choose to do so, LW needs to tell his "nice" mom and pop that those people don't want to break bread with people who vote for hate. And whenever mumsy talks about being offended, then LW should make fun of her like Trump made fun of Serge Kovaleski, then grab her pussy. When she becomes shocked, mock her further for being weak and bringing America down. That's the world LW's parents wanted, let them enjoy it firsthand.

This situation is pure American politics at its best (or worst, depending on how you look at it). The fundraising came through the Green Party, so the Dems and their banker/corporate buddies don't have to foot the bill. Jill Stein gets to play the flunky if it fails, HRC can act like she's the princess being rescued. The Greens get something they've never had before, *access* to high-level political maneuvering, as well as gaining allies and benefits if it actually succeeds. And the Dems get to act like they're still a part of the American Political Establishment while it's all those crazy Greens doing the dirty work.

The pic of that house reminds me of the psychiatrist's house in Todd Solondz's film _Happiness_.

Just sayin'.

Another reason to avoid Starbucks: They hire racist trash for baristas.

I love those new Wells Fargo commercials. "We've stopped committing atrocious crimes and swindling you out of your money. We're real honest now, some come bank with us!"

LW definitely has an over-idealized view of sex. Sure it can be transcendent and spiritual, but so can watching a sunset. I bet she doesn't watch *every* sunset with incredible rapture; so it is with sex. Not every time you bump uglies will it be a cathartic, connecting experience. Her over-idealization of sex is reflected in her over-rejection of porn. (And for those of you who say it's all ugly men banging teenage-looking girls, that reflects your porn viewing habits more than the available porn out there. I mean seriously, it's not that hard to find the incredible variety of ways in which humans oscillate for the O.) It's like food: some meals you cook will be a disaster. Some will be incredibly delicious. But most of the time, it will be lunch. Get used to it.

Did any of you watch the game? The refs were consistent with their non-call all game. There were plenty of opportunities to call PI, and they stood back. That's the best you can expect of a ref: consistency.

If an umpire is calling the low strike, even if it's outside what you think the strike zone is, if he's calling it all game for both teams, that's an outstanding ump. Same thing. The refs kept their flags in their pockets, for both teams, and that's the best you can ask. Isolating a single play and bitching about it is the wrong approach.

You barely mentioned the MVP of the game: Cassius Marsh. His blocked FG was the difference in the game. Plus his work on special teams, with two big stops, and his late game sack, kept the Dolphins at bay (which more than made up for his whiff early on, allowing a 50-yd reception). He's the spirit of the Hawks, where second-tier players step up and play at a top-tier level.
