I agree with Warren. Hadfield is a hero of mine. As a scientist, it takes a lot of interest to get people interested in science. I tried to talk to high schoolers as an outreach project about microbiology, and a bunch of them kept asking whether or not it would be on the ACT's. We need to push curiosity, and Hadfield is great about this. Don't be flippant, Dan. Science is dying here in the USA, and if we need a Canadian singing astronaut to remind people that cool stuff is going on in space, then power to the Canadians.

I always thought of this as a song to sing about giving dating a second chance after a break up. You rely on this other person so much, but then they hurt you or you just get hurt. So sometimes, you wish you could still live with someone and have them help and support you, but without the emotional connection that could lead to pain. But there's still this longing to meet someone and actually connect with them. It's the duality of a breakup. You never want to feel again, but you want to be in love again.
