Wow. Seventeen bucks for ONE PIECE OF PASTA? Really? That's some seriously pretentious shit.
My Dad got the Braised Short Ribs for $15, except it was singular... one freaking 'rib' the size of your thumb. Gone in two bites. Poof.
Granted everything was absolutely delicious and Scott Carsberg is a freaking genius, but this is not Manhattan and I'm not a hedge fund manager.
A hundred bucks later, my Father and I were still starving and headed to Dick's to get something after our 'dinner.'
Five stars for taste and 1/4 star for value. I'll give 'em two stars.

reviewed Szechuan Noodle Bowl
First the meh, and then the great. I really do love this place, however I don't see what the fuss is over the scallion pancakes. I've always thought they were kind of dry and tasteless.
Also, which isn't a big deal to me, I'm pretty sure the noodles aren't made in-house. I was having lunch there a few months ago when the noodle delivery guy showed up with giant bags of fresh noodles in a grocery shopping cart. Granted, he could've been 'their' noodle guy, but then why did he leave without an empty cart?? Whatevs, not a big deal to me...
I have watched them make their fantastic dumplings at the table in the corner during the day, though. It's fascinating.
Now for the great. Their Won Ton soup is dynamite! I've searched the Puget Sound area for 15 years and theirs is the best, hands-down. Their beef noodle soup is equally fantastic and I also love the bamboo shoot appetizers.

reviewed Noodle King
Been to Noodle King several times now and every dish I've had is darn good.
I'd say they're in the top 3 or 4 noodle places in Chinatown. Perhaps
because they're a new business, they always seem to have a special where you
can get a great bowl of soup for around four bucks.
Anyway, I was messing around with a new camera and some software and filmed
the noodle guy working his magic the other day. It was cool enough that I
decided to finally get a YouTube account and post it for others.
I'd like to see this place do well. Hopefully they'll raise the bar for all the other noodle joints in this part of the world, which can only be a good thing.
