Thank you, Mrs D. You made the point I was trying to make, and better still you did it with specific examples.
As an aside, I sometimes listen to another program on the same station as Jones, and WOW the commercials. I'll just say that if I ever need to buy body armor to wear while I'm removing fluoride from the water that I'm going to water my CRISIS GARDEN with, I'll know where to go.

@34, well if they have, I would think it's INTERESTING, at least. I mean, wouldn't you? How they've tried to do it, what kinds of results they've had...? I mean, I would read an article about it, wouldn't you?
I'm also surprised, honestly surprised, that any thinking person would NOT think it's something the military has "looked into", regardless of whether or not you think it's likely they've had any results.
I don't really think my original post (#9) was so outrageous and I really don't think I deserve to get shit flung at me for it, that's all.

Also, Brooklyn Reader, times are changing. Motion detective video games, Taco Bell prices are through the roof, holographic concerts and same the weather is beginning to be controlled.
Recently, there have been new campaigns in support of weaponized weather. It is a trend to control storms.
In terms of my opinion toward the subject, I don’t care. Things that don’t affect me or have no bearing on my well-being are not on my list of priorities. However, it is becoming hard to remain neutral in the midst of such a controversial issue.

Uh, Brooklyn Reader, why do you think I put "they" in quotation marks?
I'm just in favor of some kind of middle ground between Alex Jones-style nuttery and the tendency to be dismissive of weird-sounding stuff military or intelligence groups might do as the ramblings of "conspiracy nuts". Because while I'll grant you that the former can be dangerous, GUESS WHAT? So can the latter.

Oh please, 24, with your "succor and support". Spare me.
The truth is that there's a really long and bizarre laundry list of stuff that our military and intelligence groups have attempted to harness for gain, from psychedelics to psychics to mind control to sonic weapons to whatever you wanna imagine. And yeah, they've had some degrees of success with some of them.
Let me ask YOU this: do you really believe, when you stop to think about it, that "weaponized weather" is something "they" haven't at least LOOKED INTO?
AGAIN, I've stated emphatically that I find it unlikely they've had any real luck with it.

18, you are SO not paying attention to what I'm saying, because you're so eager to think I'm a "conspiracy nut".
Let me spell it out for you one more time:
1)I DON'T THINK "WE" CAN CONTROL THE WEATHER.
2)I DO THINK WE'VE PROBABLY TRIED.
3)I THINK THERE'S A SMALL CHANCE THAT IN TRYING, WE MIGHT HAVE HAD SOME KIND OF SMALL SUCCESSES THAT FALL FAR SHORT OF ANYTHING ACTUALLY PRACTICAL.
4)AGAIN, I DOUBT #4, I JUST DON'T DISMISS IT 100%
Is that really so nuts?

@16 I'm trying to make a point that a lot of times the actual truth exists somewhere between the batshit stuff Jones is spouting and the point of view that would dismiss even the idea that "weaponized weather" as something that has been at least looked into. (sorry, awkward sentence)
Did you know that at one taxpayer money actually funded a group whose purpose was to investigate the idea that stereotypical "UFOs" were some kind of "demonic" (in the Christian sense) manifestation? I shit you not.
So I'm just saying I doubt it's possible, I doubt even more that if it was possible it would be PRACTICAL, but I doubt EVEN MORE STILL that it ISN'T something we've looked into, because our government spends basically unlimited funds investigating strange and wonderful new ways to kill people.
So, to answer your question: Because they can. And because we give them the money to play around all they want.

10, yeah, I know all about that HAARP conspiracy stuff. I'm just saying... it's probably something "we've" tried, and while it's likely we've had no success, I also wouldn't be SUPER SUPER shocked if we had some kind of small limited luck with it. Even if we did, there's all kinds of reasons it wouldn't make a practical, controllable weapon, so I'd be super skeptical it's ever actually been used to really "attack" anybody.
But if you look into all the crazy shit we've attempted to use for military/intelligence gain, it's not that much of a stretch to think this is something we've at least TRIED.

Not that Alex Jones isn't being ridiculous, and not that I think this was anything but a "natural" tornado, but I would bet money that "weaponized weather" is something that somebody associated with US military or intelligence has at least looked into, and MAYBE even had some kind of (likely very limited) success with. If there's a way to kill people with it, I'm sure we've tried to harness it.
So while, again, what Alex Jones is suggesting is ridiculous, I wouldn't be 100% dismissive of the general concept right off the bat.
