We can herein declare an end to all pretense that you are a journalist rather than a politician. And one so meek that, rather than forthrightly run for office, you will continue to hide behind your keyboard.

Most boggling, you were going to continue to masquerade as a journalist, remaining on the job, if you had chosen to run!

I realize The Stranger prefers to thumb its nose at ethics unless someone else violates them. But this is gutless and shameless beyond even The Stranger's loose boundaries.

I don't happen to like Dunn, but as he phrased it..."worked in"...isn't a claim of being a lawyer during that period - the exact time which is debatable - and in no way compares to Burner's "degree" lie.

I once thought it was unfair of McKenna to bar you from his press conference, but it turns out he was right, you are just a party-line hack and have nothing to do with journalism. Teaming up with Eli doesn't give you credibility, by the way, it lessens his own standing.

With Goldy on the story, it's not reporting, it's opining. His tirades on McKenna disqualify him as a "reporter" of any kind, so with this piece you're getting the predictable Stranger "news" story - someone's opinion on what happened.

The Mayor hasn't "mandated the Weekly" use anything for backpage ads, since backpage is not the Weekly, a distinction the famous Pulitzer Prize winning writer always fails to make in his one-sided Stranger-slanted coverage. I also love your "there are no ads from minors" in the Strangers' escort section. Dream on ratbrain.

Not much of an argument Charles, since you are as usual unspecific. Some old places deserve razing, some new buildings shouldn't be built, and so on. To your one specific point, KSS, you're wrong: It has provided many more, and lasting jobs, than a new building would have, merely by needing constant upgrading and repair. And it is a grand spire, a rare thing, in the midst of so much commonplace. When I drive by, it gives quite a unique pleasure.

But in aggregator-think, just gathering "it" all up in one place is some kind of journalistic achievement, apparently, like Slog - with all its original, stolen, reporting.

But there's no sin - and all kinds of payoff - in clarity...if, that is, you actually can express what you mean. To readers, a declarative sentence is gold while an abstract meandering is an I.O.U.
