I have one car and one gun.I am registered. My step dad sold it to me. I paid $600 for a 9mm Glock without scope. He had to register it as a sale. He is still upset that he had to pay state sales tax on it (it was part of the deal, it had to be reported.) I still have MY gun. I haven't bought any rounds. I have 13 bullets in my clip. I hope they will never be emptied.

Just like drunk drivers, we need to have a conversation about handling our equipment well. If you can't handle it (mental included) you should not be licensed to have it.

This discussion has been raging for a long time now. If you expect your child to pass his/her drivers license exam; then you should expect yourself to pass both the knowledge of an educational and handling of a firearm.
If you want to raise issues about that statement, try loading a black powder rifle in less then 2 seconds.

As a single mother of two teen age boys, I cannot afford to live in Seattle unless I cram us into a two bedroom apt (I did for several years in the jxn). I can ride my bike faster then drive my car at heavy port times. My children don't fit on my handle bars, in fact they are much bigger then me at this point. And yes they have their own bikes and use them. I drive trolleys for Metro. Like many of the Muni drivers. WE can no longer afford to live in the cities we work. It isn't just those trading a mega mansion for a gas loss.
