Very true. EMT's in King County generally are allowed under their protocols to check blood sugars. However, the medical director for Seattle's EMT program does not currently allow for that tool. It is one of the few differences between Seattle EMS and King County EMS protocols.

Goldy, you had it spot on. Court got it right with the bookends. The founders knew what a supermajority was and how to put it in. Very surprised by Stephens and Chuck Johnson taking the extreme view on justiciability (i.e. - this case probably couldn't ever be heard, because look, other times were the wrong time).

I am going to subscribe to this. I've been on Nathan's bus a few times and was always impressed by his demeanor and happy attitude. Very excited to learn he has a blog, and I am even more excited that its well-written with great story-telling.

@Dan According to the Chicago Manual of Style: "When compound modifiers (also called phrasal-adjectives) such as open-mouthed or nicotine-free come later in a phrase than the noun they describe, ambiguity is unlikely and the hyphen dispensable (though not incorrect)."
