No, he said it. It was clearly a slip of the tongue and meant something else but after the repubs ran with the "you didn't build that" line, I feel no obligation to ignore the hilarity of this misstep.

I traveled to Seattle over Thanksgiving and found the city to be lovely--if a bit wet--and ate far too many excellent meals. Too bad I didn't ask a townie what I should do while I was there; judging by Slog I missed out on the local pastime: bitching about guns, pitbulls and award shows.

I'll just have to take in the local color the next time I'm in town.

Wait, so the writer was at a salon--an establishment where by definition a person does the work of clipping dead pieces of your body off for you--and yet complains about someone clipping dead pieces of their body off of themselves? I think this might fall under the "Maybe there are bigger things to whine about" file, like the post about eating french fries with a fork.

Wait, what am I missing here. Everyone got what they wanted. All women will still have their birth control paid for--big picture!--and some repub windbags will still complain about the compromise. Are we sure our standard rage isn't misplaced on this one?
