I don't think I've ever personally witnessed street harassment...I'm either talking to whoever I'm with, have my face buried in my phone, or am otherwise trying not to make eye contact or talk to strangers.
I also rarely go to bars and other places where drunks tend to be assholes towards women (and everyone else..)
If I did see something like that I'd stay out of it unless explicitly asked for help or there was physical violence.

As if roadies are any better at all? They don't stop when they're supposed to, don't yield when they're supposed to, don't slow down when they're supposed to, pass around blind corners, don't give warning when passing, buzz pedestrians, etc etc.
When I see lycra I take it as a sign to be much more alert than usual.

When I moved here I stopped biking due to the helmet law, and I used to rack up 5k miles a year, all helmetless. My brain might--might--be a bit safer in the short term. But my heart and lungs and the rest of my body are worse off, which of course is dangerous to my brain over the medium to long term.
