Yeah, it's a copy of that.

Holy fuck Christopher. You keep throwing more fuel on the fire. Just drop it and quit acting like a fucking victim.

@29, you've never heard of a fiduciary duty, have you?
Mar 21 ourkind commented on If You Had a Problem with Ryan Boudinot's Piece about Writers.
@9 You shouldn't decide to spearhead a local cause, collect donations and grants in support of that cause, cause other similar efforts to fold in order to better focus support on your one singular collective effort, and then very publicly sabotage the entire cause by insulting and alienating most of the community that you need to be on your side for the cause to happen.

The Stranger has yet to actually cover the reason many people in the Seattle arts community are upset with Boudinot. You continue to write about them as insecure and irrational people who didn't like hearing something that hurt their feelings. You have continued to ignore that for many people, the reason they are upset is not because the ideas in the article were so innately upsetting, but that it was wrong for a person in Boudinot's position to be expressing those ideas.

Seattlish posted an article that actually addresses the other side of all of this. I wish The Stranger would do the same thing.

Dan, I don't know why you bother to respond to this crap. The conservative right is offended by your mere existence, so of course anything you do or say will be scrutinized. There is literally no good that can come from acknowledging the "controversy."

This episode was one that stuck surprisingly close to the comics, both in story and imagery. Check out this panel from the book.

@reed, I was saying Landmark is a dying breed, not SIFF. In the last few years, Neptune, Metro, Varsity, Egyptian, and Harvard Exit have all closed. The only Landmarks left are the Guild 45th, Seven Gables, and the Crest.

Unfortunately Landmark and SIFF are the only companies in Seattle that still use union projectionists and managers, and Landmark is a dying breed.
