SL Letter of the Day: Living Discomfortably.
While I agree with the consensus that the roommate is a jackass and the LW should move asap, I want to speak up as someone who did, in fact, spend a lot of time cuddling non-sexually with my roommate. I'm straight, he's gay, we cuddled and watched TV, it was awesome. So yeah, it happens. But not in the LW's case.

SL Letter of the Day: Mate Or Mat?.
I don't think it's fake at all. An old friend of mine dated a former stripper and complained frequently to me about how she acted like a sex kitten in public, rubbing up on men, suggestive comments, etc, but when they got home, she had a headache, her back hurt, something was always wrong. They rarely ever had sex and she never initiated or participated much. After 10 years of this, what did he do? He married her.
I will never understand.

This Morning's NYT Book Review.
I didn't abandon religion 25 years ago because they were anti-gay, I just actively ridicule them now because of it.

John Corvino: Anal Sex.
I was expecting a primer on the prostate gland. More straight guys need to acknowledge that they have one, too.

Has Virginia AG Ken Cuccinelli Ever Had a Blowjob? Eaten Pussy? Fucked Ass? Eaten Ass?.
What all the comments at Mother Jones and elsewhere seem to be missing is that some female teenagers who were over the age of consent in that state were lured/coerced/??? into blowing a 47 year old guy. Which, depending on how they were coerced, is essentially legal.
Therefore, the AG wants to outlaw blowjobs because 17 year old girls blowing a 47 year old guy is gross, right? So why isn't he trying to increase the age of consent? Because it's WAY better if 47 year old guys are having vaginal intercourse with 17 year old girls?
Seriously, as screwed up as outlawing sodomy is, ignoring the rest of the story is just as weird.

The Worst Place On Earth.
@47 - You're right. After I posted that I went back and researched further (I'd only heard about the original story in passing) and found that it was a shitstorm about nothing, so I apologize for believing the original report (though in my defense, I assumed it was just one weird person, not representative of trans women as a group). But even though I believed it, my point - badly made - was that anyone being exhibitionist in a locker room is annoying.
However, not only was my point badly made, but it was not germaine to the discussion. I certainly did not mean to imply that the woman in question should NOT use the ladies locker/bathroom. I firmly believe that she should.
Mea culpa
