Yeah, it's a copy of that.

@4 or without "p" either.

@11 maybe the solution involves managing the money they receive better, along with making the fares cover a greater portion of operating costs. There is no good reason why all the fancy Rapid Ride bus shelters needed to be installed, for example. Those busses could have used existing stop infrastructure much more cost effectively.

Why don't they just raise bus fares? Obviously they are not enough to support the transit system. Besides, if the objective of getting people out if cars is acheived, there will be fewer cars to tax, resulting in less revenue.
May 8 WestSeven commented on North Carolina GOP Wants to Make It Harder for Teenagers to Get Tested for STIs and Seek Treatment.
Would the teenagers need notarized parental consent for a doctor to treat a sinus infection or the flu? All STIs are is a bacterial or viral infection of part of the body. Might as well be consistent and treat the entire body the same
May 1 WestSeven commented on What's Wrong with the Plan B Compromise?.
@14 is exactly right. If the kids don't need a "fucking license" then there should be no ID requirements for any form of OTC contraception, including Plan B.

How are they going to pay for gender-neutering the state's laws? I thought the budget was in bad shape?

@18 there are some restrictions in Houston. You can't build a titty bar next door to a daycare, but a land mine factory would be ok.
Apr 16 WestSeven commented on Rally in Olympia on Friday to Fight the Beer Tax.
@8 maybe they can start with a state income tax on only the rich, just like how the beer tax was only on the products of big brewers. I'm sure such an income tax would never be extended to cover the majority of the population.
Apr 10 WestSeven commented on The War on Cabs.
I had to make an unexpected last minute trip back to Seattle last month. I was shocked how high taxi rates are from the airport. I ended up renting a car. Sounds like that was the best thing after all after hearing the reports of how dirty and unreliable the cabs are.
Apr 3 WestSeven commented on Mt. Rainier Moves to Ban Bottled Water, Big Bottle is Pissed.
Bottled water is about convenience. I buy a lot of bottled water when I travel because you can't always carry enough reuseable water bottles in your carry on luggage to have adequate water for when you are away from a tap for hours. My job often has me traveling to hot, dry work locations with no water and where you have to piss behind your truck.
