1) informational posting, something with meaningful content or a serious artistic intent and execution, is not the same as the mindless vandalism of tagging
2) Although the tree isn't likely harmed by the tag, it would be harmed by common methods of removing or obscuring tags, so it's not crazy to take tree-tagging more seriously than tagging items that can be cleaned or even replaced.

In addition to what @#17 wrote, the tree-tagger is in an asshole contest with LaRouchies. I mean, that's premier-league asshole competition there. You wouldn't normally expect a rank outsider to stand a chance.

The man lifted the right side of his jacket
Well, not in the cartoon he didn't.

I thought it was widely believed to be the case that although he widely advertised a program of weight loss through iron will and a belief in Jesus, to the extent that he wrote (or at least "authored") a book avocating weight loss thorugh self-control, Huckabee actually lost a lot of weight as a result of bariatric surgery. Nothing against bariatric surgery, necessarily (I'm not well informed on the subject), but on the topic of weight loss the newly slimmed-down Huckabee is very likely a massive hypocrite and an enormous poseur.

You poll should have included The Red Chapel, which I think is still available on Netflix.

There's something unsettling about making the assassination of an actual living head of state - even North Korea's - into a film, let alone another low-brow stoner comedy

Are you aware of this:
Death of a President is a 2006 British high concept mockumentary political thriller film about the fictional assassination of George W. Bush, the 43rd U.S. President, on 19 October 2007 in Chicago, Illinois.
George W Bush is scum, from whose disastrous mismanagement our nation may never recover - but there are worse things than an unwatchably dumb film about murdering a cartoonish dictator in a small distant land that doesn't show western films, and far closer to home.

Every reasonable person who heard even a summary of witness 40's testimony after the evidence was released immediately realized witness 40 was insane or a fabulist; their claims didn't remotely pass the giggle test. What isn't clear to me is what the grand jury made of the testimony, and how the "prosecutor" used it.

I have a reading assignment for you.

Also, Bob Park would like you to learn some physics, specifically the difference between ionizing and non-ionizing radiation.

I mean, seriously: this bunch of quackery never had any plausible proposed mechanism, and has been ruled dead since Clinton was President. There are possible issues of noise and pollution by uncombusted jet fuel, and I don't know what the electronic warfare gear might do to the cell phones of lost hikers, but its effect on your person will be nil.

Maybe 1200 feet would be acceptable, I dunno. But I've been at Deception Pass, at the north end of Whidbey, near Whidbey Island Naval Air Station, as pairs of Prowlers come roaring past a smidgen over treetop height, over and over for an hour. That is not something you want in a postage-stamp park like Deception, and certainly not in a revered wilderness like the Olympics.
