'Video synced to surroundings' claim sounded very cool, so pretty disappointed by what I saw at the performance. Footage looked extremely generic to the region. I hope & pray we'll be able to see some visual patterns emerge in the display that give a sense of parrying or at least acknowledging its setting. And for god's sake, why not also have real-time feeds coming in from remote cameras? (Or even from NW webcams. The WaMu falcons, digitally remixed, would've been cool to see, no?)

Review of the DJ wars: Glass vs Savage,Showbox-Market
Blow by blow:
DJ Savage led with Ethel Merman. Very fun - for one song!
DJ Glass totally rocked his set, with music available on, I don't know, an actual iPOD.
DJ Savage countered with Captain & Tenille. (I'll get back to you after talking to my therapist.)
DJ Glass had crowd rip-roarin' (OK, with the occasional flat attempt at, e.g., New Wave - "Sex, I'm A Goddess..." falling unbelievably flat(!), and an awkward intro into some rap that eventually caught on.)
"How did I miss that" picture: DJs Glass & Savage each giving a go at crowd surfing.
Priceless followup: professional DJ (aiding them all night) subtley demonstrating crowd surfing etiquette - with junk towards ceiling, fer cryin' out loud!

Both my housemate and I donated a kidney to strangers this past year (go Hillman City donors!).
Here's how it works:
1. You have a spare kidney.
2. Someone will die today without it.
3. Call Virginia Mason hospital (206-341-1201)
My advocate there was the granddaughter of the hospital founder. Yep, she was a donor.
