Two Things, Both Ridiculous

Did you know Fergie from the insufferable Black Eyed Peas used to be on the Disney television show Kids Incorporated (K-I-D-S!)? I totally didn’t. Until this weekend, that is, when a friend showed me this video on YouTube. Old Kids Inc. clips synched up with the BEP’s “My Humps.” Sooo creepy.
Also, the Smashing Pumpkins are currently recording their new album with Roy Thomas Baker (who has worked with Queen). Drummer Jimmy Chamberlin has been keeping everyone updated via the band’s Myspace page, and his writings are especially uh… interesting? Not only does ol’ Jimmy refer to himself in third person (as “JC” no less!), but he also says this about the new material:
As some of you know we are indeed creating music again. Music that comes from a place so pure it will burn the lies off the very souls of those who try to discount it. We have arrived at a place in our lives where truth and honesty prevail and we are creating from that place.
Music that comes from a place so pure it will burn the lies off the very souls of those who try to discount it?!
Whoa.

I, for one, cannot wait to have the lies burnt off my soul. It's about damn time.
they were always such hippies. ug.
during their first go 'round a few of my junkie friends were into SP 'cause they wrote songs the way the horse would hit 'em.
that video is amazing.
