In Honor of Mos Def's New Album Being Pretty Good

I bring you this two-year-old clip of Mos Def rambling about Al Qaeda and Christopher Hitchens being kind of a dick.

The Ecstatic is a much better record than the scattered, under-produced True Magic.

it's awesome! know why? STONES THROW. madlib's on it, oh no's on it, georgia anne mudlrow's on it, and the lib/oh no stuff is hella old! that label is the best thing in america.

I remember that episode of Real Time... the guest mismatch of an apparently stoned Mos Def and a drinking Hitchens was cringe worthy throughout.
