The other night around midnight, two houses in Madrona were moved several blocks by truck. All along the moving route on Howell and Denny, neighbors camped out into the wee hours in order to watch the houses roll by. The movers occasionally had to cut down trees and power lines in order to maneuver properly.
It bears mentioning that the two houses sat side by side for a hundred years and have now gone their separate ways. Apparently the event was exciting enough to have a Twitter feed. Check it out.
