I don't really trust my last.fm statistics, but they say that I didn't listen to any one song more than 29 times in the last 12 months. That said, my top repeats were:

Bon Iver - "Calgary"
James Blake - "the Wilhelm Scream" / "Lindisfarne I & II"
Beirut - "East Harlem"
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - "Belong"

(I also listened to the first two tracks from M83's Hurry Up, We're Dreaming" and Typhoon's A New Kind of House what felt like a hundred times over the course of a couple weeks, but that was on Spotify and may not have been logged.)

LEE. 15
"Great Pan Is Dead" or "Confetti" by Cold Cave

Also "Lose It" by Austra, "Collapse" by Iceage, "Money" by the Drums and "Midnight City" by M83.

And although these aren't new songs, " I Can't Stand" by Zola Jesus and "Under Your Spell" by Desire (although I listened to instrumental version a lot more than the version from Drive)

The baby voiced female of that indie tune insures that it will find a place as bumper music for UPS or Target ads during the Super Bowl.

Also, intro: Beach Boys. Don't Worry Baby.

Maybe the Ronettes...

Kaki King - "Death Head" and "Betrayer" - I always liked her playing but didn't realize she'd started writing awesome rock songs. She got really great with "Junior."

You Let Me Down by Joel Plaskett, on his cd set Three.
For a letdown song, it's lively and catchy.
Actually, almost everything on Three is great.

Wow Megan. Great song. Great Vid.

I think the song I listened to most often this year was probably Gogol Bordello "Immigraniada", but honestly I can't remember what I did the first 6 months of the year when I was strapped in a chair in a white cubicle. Things happened there....

@30, any song that begins with "Goddamn Europeans" is pretty sure to be top 5, particularly in a year when their politicians are causing the problems (for a change).

If we're including times I watched the videos it would probably be a 3-way tie between Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire's "Huzzah!" and "The Last Huzzah!" (always back-to-back), Nacho Picasso's "Numbnuts" and Kreayshawn's "Gucci Gucci."
