Hear New Music from Police Teeth

Posted by on Wed, Aug 1, 2012 at 11:18 AM

Today is a good day! Seattle's own punk rock with the emphasis on the rock band Police Teeth have posted a new song from their upcoming album. The song's called "Bellingham Media Blackout"—at times it sounds wonderfully Fugazi-like, other times it sounds like cocky and snotty bar rock (in a good way, not in a "We're not a cover band—we're a tribute band!" way). I dig it.

Here, hear:

Police Teeth will play Black Lodge September 22. The album release show is at the Sunset, November 9.

I think the PC way to call a band "bar rock" is "pub rock." ;)

Song rules, band rules.

@3: Well, there's no swearing on the new LP, so we have pretty much completely sold out!

We thought that was gonna work in our favor for 'Blood of Patriots'...and you see how many units we shifted.

I was trying to come up w/ a Dave Kendall 120 Minutes joke, maybe working in the one airing of the silkworm video...nothing came together for me...I must need more sleep.

@5: It'll be a funnier reference once the video(s) for the new LP are finished!

No swearing? You should put a a parents advisory label on it. That is comedy.

@7 There is an "ass," used without "hole," as well as a couple "damns," used without the god- prefix.

@7: There are also two songs with "fuck" in the titles, though not in the lyrics.
