Breaking News: Sub Pop Records For Sale?!

Posted by on Mon, Sep 24, 2012 at 12:37 PM

Not too much is known about what's going on at the Sub Pop offices at the time of this posting. A press release has yet to be issued, I've placed a few calls to the office and was directed to an answering service. Christopher Swenson, husband of grunge-insider Susie Tennant, has leaked the first information about Sub Pop records being for sale via Facebook, though no other details were given.

There is no public word yet if there is a buyer for Sub Pop records or anything more about the future of this transaction. The sale of Sub Pop records could cause a major change in the city of Seattle's cultural landscape and the music industry as a whole.

That's the mark of a really good joke, one that takes a long time to get and is barely clever. I call them "snoozers."

Doesn't everyone in Seattle have most of those records? Ebay them, you'll do much better there.
