Art / Television Watch Macklemore + Ryan Lewis Perform Again on Ellen DeGeneres's Show, Then Bestow Upon Her a Jean Jacket Painted by Derek Erdman!

Here's local-boys-done-good Macklemore + Ryan Lewis, plus a skateboard, a poncho, and a one-of-a-kind birthday gift:

That there jacket was painted by local-boy-done-good (and Stranger joke-maker) Derek Erdman. I asked him three questions about the creation of this Ellen jacket.

How long did it take you to paint this jacket?
About four hours.

What do the 13 stars symbolize?
The apparitions of the Virgin of Fatima in 1917 were claimed to occur on the 13th day of six consecutive months. Oh wait, that's just how many would fit.

What's the going rate for a custom-painted jean jacket and do celebrities get a discount?
$200. NO CELEB DISCOUNTS. Except for Parker Posey.
