Pete is KILLING ME!
2
The Pumpkins do not belong among these bands. Poor form.
3
I agree that Korn is way better for inclusion in this list.
4
@2: Seriously, shut up.
5
How about UK Ozzfest 1998?

Main Stage:
Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Foo Fighters, Soulfly, Pantera, Slayer, Fear Factory, Therapy? (who replaced Korn who pulled out in the run leading up to the festival.)

Second Stage:
Coal Chamber, Life of Agony, Human Waste Project, Hed PE, Entombed, Pitchshifter
6
Dave Matthews. 311. That vaguely christian band that isn't Creed with the "heaven let your light shine down" song.
7
Fuck you #1 for cross posting on Slog.
Fuck you #2 for including Sublime in this post.
8
There needs to be a Marilyn Manson shirt in there.
9
I recently met a real, current times fan of Toad the Wet Sprocket. I'm 95% sure they weren't putting me on.
10
Apologists for Sublime are encouraged to kill themselves.
11
@5 - I hate seeing Entombed on that lineup, yeesh. :(
12
No, the bands YOU like suck!
13
@4 Seriously? They put out at least two of the best albums of the 90s. I don't get it. Even people that don't care for SP wouldn't typically put them among these bands - and I know some seriously snobby music nerds.

Fine, you're now on my list of worst shitty ironic cartoonists of the 2010s.
14
LIVE. or Sponge.

@9

umm, I wouldn't ever call myself a fan, but I will readily admit to genuinely liking the TTWS songs that people should know. because they remind me of being like eleven or twelve years old. and because I am a complete turd of a person.

@2 & 13

the way you write about Smashing Pumpkins leads me to believe you were around for the height of their popularity, which would mean you're an adult. why don't you act like it and calm the fuck down?
15
@2 & 13: OH DAG YOU GOT TOLD SON WASSSSSSSUP.
16
LIVE *bodied
17
We're getting trolled by a picture, people. Everyone chill out, and @10, play nice, because Sublime was awesome, so there's no need to apologize.

Don't feed the Derek Erdman.
18
@5, I was there. Entombed and Life of Agony (who had the guy from Ugly Kid Joe singing for them) were both great.
Therapy? were fucking amazing.
19
@18 - HOLY FUCK I FORGOT ABOUT UGLY KID JOE.
