Seattle reissue label Medical Records* announced today that it will reissue on vinyl Australian experimental-electronic group Severed Heads’ Since The Accident (1983) and City Slab Horror (1985) next year. A cult favorite among synth-music aficionados, Severed Heads are probably best known in America for the underground hit Accident’s “Dead Eyes Opened,” which I've always thought would blend well with Throbbing Gristle’s “Hot on the Heels of Love.” Both of these eclectic, bizarre records appear to have been out of print on wax since their original release dates. This is a huge coup for Medical and great news for fans of adventurous '80s electronic music that's rarely heard in clubs.

*I’ve written liner notes for Medical Records.
