Thackeray

Thackeray is a mildly fancy Wallingford eatery with brunch, lunch and dinner options, plus a pretty generous happy hour (appetizers are $4-6 and wine is $6). Try the kashke bademjan (an Iranian eggplant dish) or the muhammara (a hot pepper dip with Syrian origins). If you're there for brunch, try the campfire-esque Fluffernutter (grilled challah, marshmallow fluff, Nutella and bacon) or the regular challah, which comes topped with fromage blanc and dainty flowers in pastel shades of pink and purple.
