Mawadda Cafe
Recommended
In Arabic, “mawadda” means the love that comes with friendship, and if that includes food (which it should), this place is bursting with it: The hummus is rich and nutty, the tzatziki has the ideal proportions of garlic and cucumber, and the gyros are a messy delight. The owner, Iraqi-born Rami Al-Jebori, claims to serve the best falafel in Washington and seems possibly correct—his falafel salad may be the perfect vegetarian meal.
