Max's World Cafe
Owner Edna Noronha's main staple is catering; she created the shop (three tiny tables plus a counter) in response to customer demand. The limited menu is eclectic—Portuguese dishes fused with Indian flavors, and vice versa. The African chicken, curries, and fish tacos are rumored to be especially good. Check out the silver jellybean bowl on the counter: it’s a testament to the fact that Noronha graduated first in her class at the CIA. Max is her German shepherd. This is not a place to enter lightly.
