The Brand New Testament
Jaco Van Dormael's film imagines God as an ill-tempered, abusive, and sadistic curmudgeon that lives in an apartment in Brussels with his wife and daughter. The daughter, Ea, rebels against God's tyranny and starts her own circle of apostles. The film took four awards including best film and best director at the 2016 Magritte Awards (honoring the best Belgian films).
