NOT. CHRISTIAN. Even though everything in their music is a Bible reference.

I am a boy who is glad to say I never liked this band, ergo never forced a woman nor a man to hear it. Yay! People Power!
2
Were you ever, you know, honest about anything with anyone, or were you some kind of pathological liar?
3
@2 Nah pretty much just lied to everyone. Kind of my thing.
4
Not more. Please let this horrible series end. Please stop.
6
It really sounds like you need some serious help. Maybe try and think for yourself
8
Can't tell if bitch or sociopath. Perhaps both.

I like this series and find it quite relatable. I went to three (or maybe four) Phish shows because I had friends who liked the band. Phish is terrible and in hindsight I knew it from the get-go, but I tried and tried and tried again to like the band...for my friends.

This series is quite good. Couldn't convince girls that Frank Zappa was cool. What a doofus.

Don't listen to the haters Kathleen. It's a cool series.

And shit, now I'm whistling that one song Collective Sould had on the radio. Time to bleach my brain with Crass or something.

All the misogynist straight boys pretending like they never pretended to like god-awful music to impress or fit in with their bros.

I'm a woman, like (a lot) most of the music she faked liking and find the whole premise irritating and gender stereotyping in a most annoying way. Not pathologic, not sociopathic, I'm not commenting on taste; just find it lame and cloying.

So, I think what most people are ignoring is when the events in this series happened.

She's writing about what happened in college and high school. This is exactly the period when people do things like what she is writing about.

I think it's a fun series. It's refreshing to see a tangible example of a situation where a woman pursues a guy. For me, it moves the idea from, "that never happens" to "it happens but isn't very common".

You should hold out until you find a man who listens to Stan Getz and Chris Botti....

Part six?

Bands I didn't pretend to like for girls would be Childbirth, Chastity Belt, and L7. Bands I actually like that some of those girls might like would be Tacocat, La Luz, and the B-52's. Thank you and have a great night.

Please wait...
