Scratch Acid and Oxbow will be interviewed at The Comet starting at 6, and there's some surprise music/spoken word/chat involved. It will be an early, unique show. So I would do that first. Then hit Vito's at 9:30 for Wheedle's Groove, which will probably go on on time (nice write up, Nipper!). I would come back to Neumos for Oxbow/Scratch Acid myself personally, but it isn't unimaginable fitting the band performance from Dinosaur Jr. and skipping that Q&A (J isn't going to be nearly as exciting to experience conversationally, though Rollins could make it interesting). This is one of those nights I wish I owned a Punk Rock Car Pool service (I'd call it "Cadillac Walk" after Willy DeVille). Also, we're all old as fuck here -- save for Grant -- and none of this shit is boring, so that shouldn't be an issue.
Oh and Dave: Great interview with David. You asked all the questions I wanted to ask him! Also: much younger but still mightily talented new Seattle band Tomten is playing the Vera Project, which I am planning to fit into the rest of this somehow. ("Yow!")
Annual gender bent performance of Horny-Baked Hamlet. Quings and Keens, Morphelia and The Dame. They always involve the audience so it gives me and the spice a reason to wear our codpieces. New York's all right if you like saxophones, and here's Lee Ving singing "To Dream The Impossible Dream" on Fame.
