Yes, "marijuana recently became sort of legal"... but be warned: we were there yesterday and saw cops walking around like they were looking for people smoking. We happened to be standing next to a girl that was smoking and a cop came up and had her follow him- he said that they would issue something that said she couldn't come back in the park for 5 days. On there way to whatever station, we saw him snag another girl too.

I've never seen this at folklife before- I'm really not sure why now that it is legal in the state they are apparently cracking down on public use.

They must be mad now that herb is legal and are now gonna hassle anyone whos not a white collar conservative as punishment.

Seemed to be plenty of people getting away with smoking. Noticed lots of hooku pipes on Friday but not on Sunday. Wonder if the cops examined their contents.

Drum circle. Wish they could find a more isolated spot for it or maybe they could get in rhythm with the band at Fountain Stage. The circlers and the horn band with a loud drum kit could be heard over the bands at Fountain Stage during quiet song segments.
