@1 To be fair, The Stranger was friends with some monorail backers, so it's unfair to expect that they'd forsee that monorail was anything other than the most feasible and most reliable answer and that any contrary opinion was a combination of trolling or outright regressive ideology.

Oh, how we wish that they'd add a car to each train during peak travel times! I'm fine with "standing room only" but I'd love not to feel as though I should have brought lube with me when I board the southbound train at University Station at 5 PM.

@4 Hahaha! I love that analogy. I've been known to clarify that a bus I frequently commute on was "not just standing room only crowded, but drunk college kids in a phonebooth crowded". I'm most definitely stealing "should have brought lube". Given that there aren't really phone booths anymore.
