One problem is that not a unpleasant even violent incidents are based on hate.

The incident at the UW is not characterized as a hate crime and the University has revealed almost no information one way or another.

So be careful what you wish for.

I reported the incidents involving the harassment of Uncle Ike's, the anti-Asian and anti-Jewish rhetoric by Omari Garrett. It certainly counts as a hate crime. Has anyone checked as to why the City of Seattle funds this racial hatred? Anyone checking as to why Forterra and Capitol Hill Housing are partnering with this black nationalist group? It offensive beyond words. At least the right doesn't pretend to have a high ground when it comes to racial sensitivity. I can't imagine why people are so offended at the Trump Administrations insensitivity- it's predictable. People should be appauled that the City of Seattle and leftist advocates are so willing to sweep under the table or even try and justify the horrific racism of Garrett and Africatown, both which are taxpayer funded.

It's terrible the thin skinned stranger writers will delete what #2 said

Are you talking about real hate crimes--you know, documented, reported to police, investigated, prosecuted--or the many hoaxes (fakehatecrimes.org) and Sarah-Silverman-type hallucinations about neon road repair marks? That's right: your article itself says you won't tell the police: so let the fake reports begin! For instance, there's the Louisiana Muslim woman who claimed a hate crime and then admitted she lied, the southern store that had a guy start a fire at their door and left a note signed "White America," and the perp caught on camera turned out to be a black guy, etc., etc. I see these spray painted swastikas with labels like "Trump" or "White Supremacy," and they are obviously provocations by leftists to "spread awareness" by lying. It's not new: "progressive" activists when I was in college years ago did the exact same thing. Real violence is bad enough, why are some people so addicted to victimology that they even have to invent it?

@4: you don't even need to look that far and wide. The Stranger along with Kshama Sawant colluded to drum up a fake hate crime in the case of Hamza Warsame and even tried implying the police were somehow involved. In case you missed it (you had to read Capitol Hill Blog to find out what really happened--the pathetic follow up from Ansel Herz contained scare quotes and no information) Warsame threw himself off the building in a panic in a fit of anxiety and fear after worrying what the Muslim community would think about his smoking weed for the first time. Can you imagine what Dan Savage would have to say if a teen who was a member of a conservative Christian church felt compelled to throw himself off a building just for trying weed?

What's even worse, the Stranger cited the case as a reason people should be suspicious of another case in Lake Stevens, where the FBI had already investigated and ruled the incident a suicide.

@5
Yup
Many examples of scare talk in Slog which turn out to be zero
E.g. Nine white men carrying guns walking around Madrona...covered as serious news by Slog...
Sick shit, Stranger

Perhaps Seattle is a crime of Hatred? ( & King County . . . and the United States of America . . . .-- http://www.nbufront.org ).
