Mind you I am not against a city-owned bank for other reasons but owning a bank doesn't give you free money and if the city has a decent project it can get the money
The municipal bank idea may well be a good one, but it's hard to take Hasegawa seriously about all the magical things we'll suddenly be able to do without raising taxes once we get it. It's not a license to print money.
Any serious progressive shouldn't be considering Hasegawa because of his (glossed over in this profile for some reason) horrific views and record on public transit, but even if that weren't true, it's hard to take him seriously here.

Bob Hasegawa sounds like the perfect mayoral candidate for Seattle... if he could hop in a time machine and go back to the year 1980.
