Really? Rental inspections? Giving landlords 5 years to bring questionable units into compliance is meant to protect the property owners, property managers, or the renters? Lets do something for the Renters and raise the bar for the standard of living in the Emerald City!
I have 3 units myself and would appreciate a grading system. I am confident or arrogant enough to believe ALL of mine would rate grade A, or 5/5 stars, as I would as a Landlord. I want long term renters, and except for a decade of pregnancies, have been largely successful in this.
One group I'll call "Corny & Ass's" prop mangers near some area I'll call Eastlake rate 5 stars on their only Bing rating (consider the source), yet run more illegal rentals and rat shacks that any I've ever heard of.
How would a public be able to choose one over another?
