I don't know how you could compare legislating to logging without entertaining delightful fantasies of flaying the bark off a turncoat "majority" leader, limbing, the head saw, planing, the wigwam burner, etc., not to mention flume rides, log-rolling, and clear-cutting.

If you've never toured a working full-scale lumbermill, go find one.
