To the man by the Stadium Station who asked me, "What was the most rewarding experience of your day?": When I asked you the same, you told me a friend of yours is going through a hard time, and you found talking to that friend helpful. I got choked up because I'm going through a hard time, and I wanted to tell you that my friends are there for me and how much that helps me, but I couldn't get it out. Then you found out my accent is Bosnian and told me that in the early 1990s you created an organization in Seattle to raise awareness of the war in Bosnia and to help Bosnians. I shook your hand and thanked you, and I hope you recognized the sincerity and depth of my gratitude. Your kindness and your action made my world a better place, and our brief interaction made a big impact on me. I wish I had gotten your info so that I could share a Bosnian meal with you.
