PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get the word out that a "YES" vote on R 74 affirms the law signed by Governor Gregoire to legalize same sex marriage. One might incorrectly assume that one should vote "no" on a referendum sponsored by religious zealots trying to overturn marriage equality. In this case, a "YES" vote is the(confusingly)correct vote. VOTE 'YES' ON R 74!

@2: from democraticunderground.com: "It will be necessary to have a solid educational campaign so that supporters of marriage equality will know to vote YES to keep the law passed by the legislature."
whatever the verbiage- "YES" or "APPROVE"- it is important that people understand to vote in the "AFFIRMATIVE". (and the campaign will likely be "YES on R74") And no more "bitch slapping" between supporters of gay marriage? OK?

When they say some are born gay, lesbian, or bi-sexual, that may be true, just like someone can be born with bi-polar or schizophrenic mental health issues. All the above are mental illnesses. Employers should not be forced to hire people with mental illness and we should not encourage those with mental ilness to get married and adopt kids. Glad there are very few with these mental illnesses that work in our industry leading corporations like Oracle and Mister Softie.

Me in minnesota we have an amendment vote -- most of the corporate locals support vote NO -- meaning allow gay marriage.
The corporation support for gay marriage here in Minnesota is simply AMAZING - but the creepy anti-gay amendment might pass anyhow.
And typically for these kinds of votes -- the fearful antis will do whatever they can to fog the issue.

So here in Minnesota we vote "NO" meaning allow gay marriage.

You in Washington vote "how?"

get the word out.

The military dealt with the end of DADT - with -- nothing -- it turned out to be no problem at at all --
which all of us with kids in the military knew - there's no problem with the troops, they didn't ever worry about "having to serve with queers" just some pols doing creepy stuff the troops never worried about "queers" in the military because there was never a problem

Please wait...
