Note: The 4th Avenue Diner has returned to being a Denny's. The 4th Avenue Diner used to be a Denny’s, and aside from the name, little has changed. It’s still cheap, still open 24 hours, and still serving what tastes like Denny’s coffee. The only thing missing is the Grand Slam.

It's NOT Denny's anymore!

Visited the 4th Avenue diner and was pleasantly surprised. It still looks like a Denny's on outside and the style of the diner. It is much more at home than Denny's ever was. Good service, good food and they actually have real pictures on the wall of old Seattle. 1900's type photos. Quite interesting. Prices are reasonable and it's just a nice place to stop and banter with the servers. They all asked us back to see them. I will return again. (It's also 24 hours)

Every pot of coffee is ground fresh from beans. Fresh taste and smooth. Great value for the dollar. Nice pictures of historic Seattle. Like the changes.

Road food with above average coffee.

It was unpretentiously good. Spotless decor without being OCD. Service was attentive but not creepy. Little things matter: the coffee, unlike Denny's and IHOP, does not suck; two kinds of Tabasco; gravy cheerfully served on the side.

Until we have lots of late night food carts, eat here.
