Cell phone cameras, bloggers, and the mighty endless news feed may help bring down governments. But it is still the guys with the Kalishnikovs that make the rules.
Call me crazy but it seems to me that storming the transitional council's headquarters and stealing their computers and office supplies is not going to speed the process of setting up a new government. I understand the frustration but for fucks sake people, you can't build a government from the ground up overnight. People need to show a little patience.
They have no institutions except the NTC. And I really think electing Islamist governments, while right now may seem like a bad thing, will in the end open peoples eyes on the wider world and what freedom entails. This isn't a race but a slow process. It's fraught with danger. Even in Iraq, which had a better than even chance of becoming democratic, may not make it for sometime.
